Short Term Goals of the IIMG Program
To recruit, guide, and support international immigrant medical graduates (IIMGs) to prepare them for licensure in Minnesota. To develop a model IIMGs Program with career guidance and support services accessible to all IIMGs in Minnesota and recognized as best practice for all US states.
Long Term Goals of the IIMG Program
To diversify Minnesota's healthcare workforce to decrease health disparities and promote health equity. To decrease physician shortages in rural and undeserved areas. To empower qualified, skilled, talented, and resilient immigrant citizens achieve their potential and increase their economic well-being.
Objectives of the IIMG Program
To provide career guidance and support services to 100 IIMGs living in the Twin Cities Metro area and other cities to prepare them for licensure and integration into Minnesota’s healthcare workforce.
